Green Bay Central's first organizational meeting was held on June 1, 1950 in the cafeteria of the Wisconsin Telephone Company at 112 North Adams Street, Green Bay. On April 25, 1951, the formal corporation application was approved by the banking commission. A board of directors was elected, and loan protection and savings insurance secured. This marked the beginning of Green Bay Telco Credit Union. Growth over the next 22 years was steady, and in 1973 we moved from a members home office to the Green Bay Credit Union Center. Rapid growth followed, and in 1977 we moved to our current location at Chestnut and Clinton Street. Celebrating our 50th year, we established a new name, Green Bay Central Credit Union. Our continued growth is largely due to the loyal support of our members.
